Paint jobs are great. Saw this on at an airshow last month. Was great to see it fly. Idea for another paint job.

Great to see that we are still strutting our stuff after some time with no new posts on this thread Kev.
That is another fine pair of birds you have there.

Another very neat offering Darell. With the fame of his triplane exploits folks often forget Collishaw's 1 1/2 Strutter.

    Me too Dave.
I have a feeling that I'm going to need more than one Strutter before this war is over, and that is a fine example.
    Nice one Tim.

My 1st two seater in my Bee Squadron colors. I have 3 more and some single seaters to get to...

Will have to do one or two in your colors Tim, thats great!

This one is a Shapeways model. If you like the green it is Vallejo Model Color, 096 (70894) Cam. olive green on black prime. The yellow is an acrylic craft paint, Americana, Cadmium Yellow DA10, on white base.

Another superb rendering of a rather boring subject. Certainly livens up the old green drab Peter.

Hi John. For my 1 1/2 the green is Vallejo Model Color, 096 (70894) Cam. olive green on black prime. The yellow is an acrylic craft paint, Americana, Cadmium Yellow DA10, on white base. I'll add this to the original post.

    My V of Strutters
    All shapeways.
The crew of aircraft 1 & 3 my not have actually have been the crew who flew these aircraft, both sets of crew did fly with 45 Sqn in Strutters and were KIA in them. So my little tribute to these brave airmen.
Aircraft 2 is correctly named according to the source I used.

    Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutters
    45 Sqn RFC

    1. 2/Lt J.A.Marshall 2/Lt F.G Truscott
    2. Lt F.G.Garrett Lt A.S.Carey
    3. 2/Lt C.St.G. Campbell Capt D.W.Edwards

This is a Red Eagle (ex Skytrex) metal Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter.

I needed 2 for my solo campaign.

Although the wings are very thick I do like this miniature. It has personality.

Besides I had to paint them now.

Before the Ares miniatures are on market...

    Or I would postpone.

    As I've done with others...

I still have two Sopwith Triplanes to build and paint... And 200 WW2 planes...

    How many Quim!
Never mind, your Strutters look excellent and I think your reasoning for getting them done is great
I still have two packs of DIII's unfinished because the official ones came out.
