Hatsuo closing with the P40 gets an early shot in and is rewarded by seeing smoke coming from the P40 engine cowling.

Masatake, however, being the rookie forgot to look in all directions as the Wildcats both fire long range bursts into his aircraft.

    Both Wildcats collide….

Masatake takes his revenge and fires a long range burst

Hatsuo gets caught 2 on 1 However the P40 shuddering under his cannon and machine gun fire starts a slow descent towards the sea.

Hatsuo is caught again between 2 wildcats as bullets thud into his aircraft his aim Is put off..

Jiro Horikoshi another rookie with Kaga NAG joins the battle and nearly collides with Masatake who is just exiting a cloud.

Hatsuo has been caught once too often and pays the price as his aircraft looses power and descends toward the sea. Masatake hits a wildcat hard.

    Masatake and Jiro collide.

Masatake chases after the remaining wildcat, misses with his first but claims the kill with his 2nd burst.

    High speed campaign.

Seems you got a lot of time at the moment!

    Nice mission, Neil.

I always play without collisions in my solo games.

Being off work on the sick there is not a lot I can do with a slipped disc in the neck. Can't lift, bend, walk far etc. So I pass the time doing my favourite pass time WoG.

So it's a disc in your neck Neil. Nasty! I had that when I was doing "O" Levels in the early 60's. Had my neck in a collar for weeks. it was very painful as I remember. Never had it since though. Hope you are better soon, although the more selfish side of my nature says if you are off work longer we may get more of the excellent AAR's that you are trotting out.
I really enjoyed this one. Thanks.

Didn't know they did O levels way back in the 1860's Rob.
