How does your collection break down by Nationality

After my ponderings about French planes, or lack of, I wondered how many of each Nationality (by service rather than pilot) people had. Here's mine, in no particular order

Belgium - 4 (10%)
France - 4 (10%)
British Empire - 7 (18%)
Austro-Hungary 7 (18%)
USA 2 (5%)
Germany 15 (38%)
Italy 1 (3%)

The Belgians and Austrians are a concious decision to collect something different, but the rest are pretty much unplanned. My future spending \ acquisitions will probably include more Belgians and Austrians as they and funds become available

How do other folks collect?

Slowly putting together a balanced collection of aircraft for the warring nations.
Not planning to collect US but the first aircraft I picked up was the SE5a in US markings. Next purchases I will paint for Italy and France.

Out of my 30 odd aircraft just over 55 % are British/Australian, one is French & the balance German/Austrian.

At one stage I had aircraft for every nation the were produced, but then I realised I was mainly flying only German and British, so I gave away the others to family members.

I've got all the official planes and have repainted extra of those several times. by far I have more German planes as I've added four Jasta 5 repaints and two misc DR.Is. The Brits are a close second as I've added four RNAS 9 Camels... well, I sold three of those off, but I'm in the process of replacing them.

Allies are clearly winning my collection, partly due to the fact my friend has about the same number of German/Austrian planes.
I have tried to get a Pfalz D.III in my collection, but they are evading my sights atm. :P

Except for a few DH-4s, Americans flew French and British planes. So, I presume you are asking how planes are painted:

German: 40%
British: 35%
American/French: 20%
American: 5%

My American/French planes are painted as Lafeyette Escadrille - no French planes painted French. I have a Farman F.40 that will be painted French since the Lafeyette Escadrille didn't have such. I do have a Reviresco Salmson 2 painted with American markings, but it is awating arrival of some correctly sized SPAD 13s from Shapeways in order to have an escort.

I've been quite late to start collecting the mini's and it's definitely a great pain to obtain any of them here in the Netherlands. So I had to import most of my collection from abroad at a time that most series were discontinued. Therefore choice of nationality was of minor importance when considering any given purchase for my collection.
But I try to keep it as evenly distributed as possible. At this point I've only missed out on the Russian contribution to the mini's:

As for the upcoming fifth series, I'm most definitely aiming for a copy of 'Buddecke' just for the sake of drawing Turkey into my home-brew wars.
I guess that my collection reflects my Dutch heritage quite well: In the interest of maintaining profitable trade-relations with all parties involved, one should never openly take sides in any conflict.
