    Default Hunter Hospitalized!

This is how he gets out of our Friday Furrball this week!

As temporary squadron chaplain I need to report our very own Hunter has just undergone emergency gall badder surgery at the local hospital and is now very groggy and grumpy, good time for a game! He is in recovery and doing fine so far. I will do a fly by recce tomorrow and let you know how he's doing. Prayers for his nurses and his quick recovery!

Now, I'm sure you're all aware that this week is national gall-bladder week. So as sort of an educational feature at this point I thought I would acquaint you with some of the results of my recent researches into the career of the late doctor Samuel Gall, inventor of the gall-bladder. Which certainly ranks as one of the more important technological advances since the invention of the joy-buzzer and the dribble-glass. Doctor Gall's faith in his invention was so dramatically vindicated last year, as you no doubt recall, when, for the first time in history, in a nation-wide poll the gall-bladder was voted among the top ten organs. His educational career began interestingly enough in agricultural school, where he majored in animal husbandry, until they caught him at it one day. Whereupon he switched to the field of medicine in which field he also won renown as the inventor of gargling. Which prior to that time had been practiced only furtively by a remote tribe in the Andes who passed the secret down from father to son as part of their oral tradition. He soon became a specialist, specializing in diseases of the rich. He was therefore able to retire at an early age.

With thanks to Tom Lehrer for the research

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

OK -- I suppose he pips me for "least-pleasant galbladder surgery"; he gets the Surprise option, while I got the "five days with a drainage bag out of my side" option.

    Thumbs up

Having "been there & done that" my best wishes to Hunter for a Speedy Recovery.
One thing he will feel so much better after the recovery & lack of nasty things happening related to Gall problems.

Here is that young nurse Rob sent over to keep him quite. Note the big needle!

Thanks all, I dropped in on him this morning and he its doing better than fine. I did bestow upon him a Snoopy on his dog house to keep watch over him as he recovers with strict instructions not to let him eat it. He hopes to escape Sunday. Thanks for all your messages! Clipper looking for that nurse . . .

    David!
I think you got it wrong. The nurse is not for you. It's only for those that need her!
Btw, I'm having this strange coughing... And my head hurts a bit...

I missed all this while I was away. Please pass on my wishes for a speedy recovery and let Terry know his birds from the Wunderhaus are enroute.
