Thread: Franconian Pfalz D.III joins former Zirndorf Fligth

  1. #1

Default Franconian Pfalz D.III joins former Zirndorf Fligth

Inspired by planes with local or city colours I repainted a Nexus Wings of War Pfalz D.III (Kleins).

    Took the Franconian colours:

and added a "Z" for Zirndorf (the town where I live) at the fuselage.

I hope you like the result. I try to get this plane as my new avatar.

Maybe the Pflaz will take off the first time at the Prague SummerCon next weekend.

That is a very attractive bird Sven.
What a good idea to do it in your own home town colours. You Central Powers chaps get all the good chances to get artistic.
I will go out of my way to avoid shooting down such a fine machine Sven.

I don't think it's wise to mix art and politics - I'd shoot it down.

It's perfect, I swear, it's perfect! What a set of colours! Franconian and German Empire at the same time. The scheme is genious, the colour borders are neat.
And overall this plane looks like a real predator.
So we have 3 planes representing our home towns: Zirndorf, Oppeln and Lisbon.

    Thank you comrades.

Good idea to add the planes that inspired me to paint this Pfalz, Andrzej.

I hop the pilot of the Pfalz is wise enough to honour this gesture, Rob.

And if it happens that I'll fly for the Entente during our Prague meeting Sven, your Pfalz may encounter this valiant Nieuport, which I got from Joaquim on my birthday!

Hey Andrzej, Those are two beautiful triplanes you've painted. Awesome is an understatement. Joaquim's Nieuport repaint is good as well! Happy Hunting!

A fine example of Max's work, and a great addition to your personal aircraft Sven. It just completes things nicely to have a card for a particular colour scheme.
