In a perfect example of how the universe works, I finally got my OK from work for the 29th the day after the pre-reg book came out. Never-the-less, I will be there, with planes and a will to fly. Also, there's some interesting games on the pre-reg list too.

But why would the Germans use valuable aircraft to bomb an obviously non-military target? What do they know is actually being made there? Are they right?
Tune in next time for the answer

"why would the Germans use valuable aircraft to bomb an obviously non-military target?"

    BECAUSE THEY ARE EVIL !

  9. #9

    Default

Maybe because they want to free the orphans who are slave-workers there and produce toys for adults in that factory? The brave German knights of the skies can not stand the fate of those imprisoned children any more.

  10. #10

    Default

IF there were orphan slave-workers in the factory, bombing would kill them, not free them.

This would only emphasize that the Central Empires are Evil !

Thus, it is Snoopy's sworn duty to stop the bombers from destroying the Orphan Toy Factory and ruining Christmas for the orphans.

Andrzej is about 4500 miles from me.

Not much chance of getting close enough to do any real harm.

But if he were here, my Snoopy would shoot him down in a heart-beat.

That's unfair, that the Huns have no such muppet to counter Snoopy

No problemo, the Red Baron and his circus will escort the valiant bombers to take out the nefarious evil factory.

    Richmond Businesses
This large industrial complex on North E between 13th and 15th Streets became the home of the American Seeding Machine Company in 1903. Prior to that time it was the Hoosier Drill Works, a company that had started in Milton, Indiana and moved to this location in Richmond in 1878. John M. Westcott was the president, and he surrounded himself with his three sons-in-law as officers. At least in 1899, it could claim to be the largest factory in the world devoted entirely to the manufacture of seeding machines. In 1920, it became the Richmond Unit of the International Harvester Company, which closed in 1957.
Obviously this factory truly produces mechanic devices for use on the battlefield, instead of tractors, they produce tanks for the war. Obviously a justifiable target. (How the bleep anyone expects to bomb Richmond Indiana from Europe in 1918 I have NO idea!)

What about "Pif & Hercule", "Alberne Katze", "Sylvester" or "Tom & Jerry" ?

A German cat would make a good opponent for Snoopy.

Hey you never underestimate the enemy... Just do not do a McClellan and really overestimate em.

Besides if he is on a boat with the bombers trying to get close enough to bomb Indiana, then you can try to sink them at sea!

Professor Ludwig von Drake is a kindly senior citizen.

He does not show the cruel, unscrupulous, malevolent nature that I am trying to portray.

Perhaps, Black Pete could be used to represent the Central Empires.

Hokay now I understand. You need agitprop to pander to your need to create evil in a evil situation. You wish to blame individual fighters instead of the bureaucrats who created the situation.

Ultimately, we could blame Gavrilo Princip for the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.

However, I am willing to blame the fighters and the bureaucrats in the Central Empires so that Snoopy will have evil enemies to combat.

I forgot to bring a camera Saturday so there are no pictures.

Jager sent a couple of two-seaters (not outhouses) to bomb the Orphan's Toy Factory.
One missed the target but the other was successful.
Damage was minimal so the Orphans will get some presents at Christmas.

Strangely, Snoopy and his squadron of camels were ineffective (too many root beers ?)

When I was superintendent at the Elyria Water Works, I went the county fair and saw one of our employees.
The next day at work, I found that he had called in sick.
Thus, I had to take disciplinary action against him.

Sorry I can't join you on Sunday, Kenneth; I have a AWI show in Brecksville to attend.

    Sounds like fun.
Too bad that we can't do everything.

As long as it doesn't rain, like last year; wet powder and wet wool!

I don't believe my boss watches my posts on this forum because it is blocked and thus I have to use my personal laptop to access the site. I put in for personal time on the upcoming Friday. They are notoriously bad about letting someone know if it is approved or not. But I won't be there regardless so if they force me to take a sick day then so be it. I highly doubt they would file disciplinary action against me without me filing charges against them.

Bad news guys, my flu bug which should have terminated yesterday brought friends to the party. I've been off work two days now, and it doesn't seem like I'll be in shape to go and run the game. I sent my cancellation to the Board. I might feel well enough to get there for the afternoon, so might see you.
    Sorry,
    Karl
