Thread: Free Card Models !

  1. #1

    Default Free Card Models !

Three versions of the Halberstadt CL.II in 1/72 scale are available at: http://landships.info/landships/models.html#

These 1/72 scale models were designed by Wayne McCullough.

This is a rare opportunity to get two-seater models as free card models.

When 1/72 scale is printed at 50%, it becomes 1/144 scale.

This French site has some hand-drawn WW II models at the bottom of the page.
They appear to be in 1/66 scale but could be reduced to 1/144 or 1/200 scale.

This French site also has a Camel and a Dr.1 for WW I in 1/66 scale.

I just uploaded a sheet of 1/144 Halberstadt CLIIs for Schlasta 23b. I reduced the 1/72 by 50% and deleted some of the really small parts. I combined the main interplane struts in a single piece with a cutout. I omitted the interior entirely and left a black oval where the cockpit cutout would have been. Now, I get 4 on a single sheet. Comments are welcome, and I need some beta-builds.

beats me. I didn't write down where I uploaded it, and there was a message saying that the file would have to be checked, I suppose for viruses.

If you look at the Landships II menu, Thorsten Brand has provided a card model of a Zeppelin.

Do tell...it takes a special kind of madness to tackle one of those, which I haven't acquired yet...

Thanks Ken. This is great stuff. My future AARs and games will be enhanced by the tanks and other vehicles, let alone the planes.

    Wayne, that's beautiful.

I am very intrigued by this paper modeling. Very cool.

*Nods* I intend on doing some vehicles one of these days. Too busy with planes though. Take it from a N00B, paper is doable. You just have to have the determination to do it. My results may not be great, but I've produced playable models of planes I don't have, so mission acomplished. Plus since I made the jump to paper+styrene the quality has really improved IMO.

Just printed off the Halberstadts to 1/144" scale onto card stock, can't decide to do them with styrene, stickers and cardstock . . . maybe all of the above! They sure are colorful . . . thanks again for posting them!

    Wayne,

Those builds are all wonderful! I'm not usually into float planes, but that Short looks great as well. I need to get these built!

    Try looking under Thorsten Brand
That one would take some building but it is 1/144!

NOBI at Thaipaperwork has approximately 30 WWII Planes, mostly Pacific War in 1/100 scale for free download.

    http://thaipaperwork.wix.com/onlinestore

Print at 50% and you have 1/200 scale for WOG, WWII.
