Seems, our pilots had a big portion of luck so far.

Winter and Mannecken unharmed. Dodgson will spend a short time in the hospital.
By the way: We have to work on Winters landing abilities:

But don't judge him too hard, his plane was on fire, when he did this landing...
:lol:So that's how he got down in one piece.
Kyte.
FO RON CURTIS sent down his fith enemy down in flames!

It will be an honour to clash with him in the skies over the trenches. On beghalf of the Eagles: congratulations, Flight Officer :salute:
Guess that in the absence of our esteemed leader Major Kyte I will get to shout the drinks for young Curtis in the Mess tonight.
I know we will be waiting a long time before Old Ernie Able puts his hand in his pocket.
So Gentlemen in the words of Kytey himself.
"To the bar"
Rob.
Just a note, I found out that the last two players joining us (one player per each side) have not chosen their two NPC aces each.
Should be
34. Lt. Charles (Chuck) Spellman Active
35a). Lt. Robert (Bobby) Kline / 35b). Lt. Joseph (Money) Spamoni both Active
for Todd.
He buildt his roster as you showed him in the Recruitment Center.
...or do you talk about the two ace abilities for AI pilots? (still missing)
I mean the fact that each of us should have two NPC aces from the very start.
Each of the "new" players should choose two of their NPC's and give one ace ability to each (or Chivalrous Aptitude + two other ace skills).
I wrote Todd a PM.
Maybe it was better to get the ace abilities after mission 7.;)
Just spoken to Ron Curtis , he was a bit elephants trunk and mozart :drinks::drinks: But he said" tahnk you to allllll " to his fellow pilots and he loves you
l:sleep:
Paul
NPC Aces:
Major Herbert 'Bert' Billings = Lucky Git I
Captain Francis 'Frank' Willeman = Dedicated Ground Crew I
I will get mission 7 in this weekend.

Here is a reminder about the message posted on the Eagles' Thread.
Until we get more reorganized, Bulldog players please use opponent pilots from the Reservestaffel if you want to fly vs. the Eagles for mission 9.
:thankyou:
Rob.
Roger Wingco....
..... that's an acknowledgement not an instruction !! :erk:
:hmm:Very amusing Squadron Leader! We could use a bit more jocularity around the Officer's Mess about now.
Kyte.
Sven - I have taken the liberty of adding Luke Wright-Rownde to the spreadsheet - I have put him at 27a to keep my pilots together. I have also changed some colours to brighten the place up a bit (header bars mainly). I will happily move other peoples replacements with their owners - which is another column I have added but not yet completed. If you don't approve let me know or I will carry on !
Keep up your good work - cheers flash :salute:
No, he replaces Stan as a scout pilot - on the current spreadsheet Stan was shown as #27 - I have entered LW-R as 27a as his replacement - by doing this it keeps my PC pilot number the same ie 27 and amongst his fellow pilots I control rather than being shoved towards the bottom of the spreadsheet. This makes it much easier to use the spreadsheet for me. I could show him as 27 Ra (Replacement a) if that makes it easier to understand?
I would do the same for you other chaps if you like, makes more sense to me to do it that way.
Dave, the letters a and b after the number in the spreadsheet show two-seater crews. New pilots are to be added at the end of the spreadsheet, unless you want to renumber all pilots below, which may be confusing when you read some older posts referring to specific numbers.
If you start using the letters for any other purpose, the spreadsheet becomes messy and the system in it gets lost totally.
EDIT: One more thing I noticed. Greyed out field does not only mean "not used by the owner" which I see added, but also "not available for the mission due to wound or returning home from enemy territory". It is to indicate that some pilot cannot be chosen for some future mission(s). For instance number 42 (Lieutenant Paul Stone) was shot down in mission 6 and due to being wounded and returning from enemy territory he could not be chosen for missions 7-9.
If I use a solution like 27Ra there is no need to renumber anything else at all - the alternate to achieve what I want to is to create him as #54 & then stick him amongst my pilots which looks even messier ! I will let Sven decide if that's what he would like me to do.
If I change the numbers for the other chaps replacements I would have to renumber below those replacements which will affect Todd & Jon but I can't see its that big a deal if its done now. It's up to the others, I'm quite happy to leave it & just update my entries !
Now push off back to the Austrian front you :p ;)
I've updated the spreadsheet with kills / wounds etc as best I can from the AAR & Svens very helpful tally sheet. Please have a look.
Bulldogs: I have put the replacement pilot with their owners so all your pilots are in one place - I have put current ones under their original number (ie 43,44,45) but have put new replacements under the 'pilot number Ra'. (eg 27 Ra, or, 17a Ra) If this pilot is replaced the next would be for example 27 Rb.
Let me know which method you prefer & I will adjust the others accordingly.
Likewise Eagles - if you like what you see in the Bulldog roster I can do the same for yours.
Cheers Dave
Good idea to keep the spreadsheet updated, Dave. (now I know what you mean).
Feel free to do it the way you like. I upgrade my short roster after each mission, so we don't forget fallen comrades on the one hand and haven't an actual roster with many dead pilots on the other hand. I compare it with a blackbord in the officer's mess.
It's good, that another player has an eye on it.:salute:
Why don't you just delete the number of the dead/captured pilot and use the same number for the replacement in the line inserted just below the replaced pilot?
As you said, simple ideas work best - just scroll up, Rob. :p
Or use this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...kd4SG9jNE1ZQnc
Thanks Jan.
I had just lost track of it. That all looks very clear to me now.
Rob.
That's what Sven wanted to do a while back but someone vehemently objected to that 'cos it would mess up the numbering ... didn't they Jan !!! :D
I think the number + Ra designator gives a link to the pilot replaced & is not complicated at all as the pilot number remains the same. Most people won't even look at the numbers anyway as they will use the names but it has an admin function.
I'm happy to maintain the spreadsheet so long as people make sure the data required is neatly displayed in their AAR - I will press on with it today if I get a chance.
I vehemently objected the renumbering, the deleting (or crossing/scratching out) the number and adding the replacement below with that same number would mean the numbers of other pilots/observer won't change. :p
Anyway, thanks for dealing with the roster spreadsheet. :)
Oh, and good luck in poking everyone with a pointy stick to make them display the results properly so that you can easily update the roster, it is a mighty hell of a task, trust me.
Sharpening the pointy stick as we speak !!
The Reservestaffel for use with mission 9 are now on the Eagles spreadsheet.
