Instruction sheet & directions pretty straight forward…already assembled the balloon halves and the vertical stabilizer’s halves

I chose a German RLM 65 Light Blue/RLM 66 Schwarz Grau paint scheme similar to a yellow version I saw on the web somewhere…

I drilled out the holes in the basket to allow the cables to reach down to the top-lip of the basket. I did originally have plans to
add additional cables, but it wouldn’t fit in my stowage boxes. Plus I didn’t want the hassle of tearing down after each game.

So, I went with the four cables & observation basket

The rod is some left over ¼” round acrylic rod from building flight stands of some of my larger scale aircraft
models; i.e. 1/48 scale P-51 Mustang, F-86 Saber, or MiG-15, etc.

The acrylic base is ¼” thick plexiglass I picked up from our local hardware store. Although I purchased a 11” x 17” size,
I was able to get them to cut several 3” x 6” pieces for this one and several other balloons I have plans for.

Next up is either a Caquot Type M or Achthundert English AE 800 style balloons that I’ve seen built here on the website
