Buon Ferragosto 2012

buone vacanze a tutti i miei compagni italiani

Chris,
grazie.
thank you. Ferragosto is a religious holiday (Holy Day of Obligation) but also a tradition civil holiday which I think is only celebrated in Italy (from the time of roman holiday Feriae Augusti ;)). A traditional day to take brief vacations at the beach or surrounded by greenery, and enjoy big meals :drinks:
If you were still in Latina we could know personally because in theory it's more simple for me to arrive at Latina than at the inner city of Rome . Last Sunday I was at the Borgo Montello's airfield, a few miles before Latina.

I spent 5 years in Latina all together, for the celebrations we used to go to Latina lido watch the boat procession from Sabaudia then off to our favourite restaurant for pasta and vino,I miss those days greatly.
Loved my time in your country made a lot of friends there, my brother came for a holiday in 1986 and stayed.
He now runs a property business in Rome

if you come to find your brother in Rome, the time at least for a cup of tea (or rather, of coffee) we find surely. :D

Anche a te Attilio!!
