Starting a new Campaign

Mission #8 Mission 3C Supply Search (recon) Allies are on the Offensive

Type: recon
Players: Central Powers: Steve S. (me) (Tan D111), Thomas (Red D111) and Tom (Grey D111)
Allies: Gary (Sopwith Triplane with C), Mathew (Sopwith Triplane with red cross) and Sean in for Logan (yellow Sopwith Triplane)
Setup: per scenario rules. CP: 3 random ground targets revealed to be (2 buildings, 1 AA gun), 3 AA guns surrounding the center ground target.
Results: Allies: 3 Mission points, CP: 8 mission points. The CP have stalled the advance!!! After several beatings it was good to get a win and stop their advance.

After this win by the CP, the next mission is a replay of this one (3C)

Setup: The CP players plan was to go back and forth in front of the ground targets. Orders were NOT to fly into Allied territory.
The Allies setup with the intent of enticing the CP away from the ground targets.

Unlike the last few games The CP was able to put out some damage points:

With the CP running back and forth it was only a matter of time before we got them under multiple guns.

Tom and I managed to bring down Gary first. His pilot will remain a guest of the CP for the rest of the war. Sean Recons the top target.

The overall picture when Gary was shot down, deep in enemy territory.

Here you see Mathew coming straight down the middle, he destroys the AA gun and recons the center target.

Here you can see Sean (yellow Triplane) making a break with one recon, and Mathew turning south to get the last ground target reconned.
Unfortunately the CP are out of position to catch Sean.

Mathew discovers the last ground target is a AA gun, he gets the recon and breaks for Allied territory. The AA gun begins pelting him.

Thomas gets his red DIII right behind Mathew. He does a great job getting some shots off. Mathew is in a bad spot, he speeds away and he gets shot by Thomas, he slows and Tom and I can catch up.

The end, Thomas brings down Mathew while Sean flies away with one recon.
